Description
Located in the municipalities of Linares and Montemorelos, La Libertad Dam aims to strengthen the potable water supply in the region, with an average flow rate of 1.5 m³/s. Its construction included a roller-compacted concrete (RCC) dam measuring 45 meters in height and 1,950 meters in length, along with a spillway and intake works for potable water, irrigation, and ecological flow.
La Libertad Dam will be a key pillar in ensuring water security for Monterrey. This project not only reaffirms our commitment to sustainable infrastructure, but also demonstrates how innovative solutions can help reduce the carbon footprint in construction.
The success of the dam would not have been possible without the effort, dedication, and commitment of every individual involved in the project. Their professionalism, innovation, and dedication to sustainability have been essential in completing an infrastructure that will ensure Monterrey’s water supply and leave a positive legacy for future generations.
