High Rise Buildings/Structures (Over 15 Stories)
Description
The Leopoldo 1201 residential building, built by Nortis Incorporadora e Construtora, in
the City of São Paulo, has an architectural project signed by Aflalo & Gasperini
Architects, in São Paulo – SP, in 2016, with a total built area of 10,974 m2 in 1,125 m2
of land, with 4 basements floors, ground floor and 23 stories. This building has one
house/apartment per floor and a Penthouse at the top. The main architectural feature
of this project is the 100% architectural concrete facades with emphasis on volumetry
and biophilic design of the terraces that have inclined thicknesses and varied designs
in different directions, on each floor. Internally, the building has columns of reduced
cross-section to increase the internal free space, and to provide more parking spaces
into the basements. To the architectural concrete, the concept of slatted wood texture
is applied. These characteristics gave a great challenge to the structural design and to
the development of the concrete mix, aim to guarantee the execution fidelity to the
architectural project.
