Description
The high-rise tower named the Thea At Metropolis, is an upscale condominium building. It is one building within the Metropolis complex of four high-rise towers, located at 1000 W. 8th Street, Los Angeles, CA. The building is composed of one 56-story high-rise tower and one 25-story mid-rise tower with two below-grade floors. It includes 677 typical condominium units of the studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom configurations, and 8 penthouse units on the top two floors. At the street frontage are four levels of tall of high-bay retail spaces, with a typical residential story height of 9’-8”. The tower borders a 10-story parking podium for more than 1,800 parking stalls, and a roof deck of outdoor garden and amenity with a spa and a pool. The tower also has indoor amenities on two levels within it, and a helipad on the rooftop. The tower is enclosed by a unitized curtainwall system. The building received the Temporary Certificate of Occupancy on Dec. 8, 2019, and Certificate of Occupancy on June 5, 2020. The first residents started moving in on Sept. 1, 2020.
